DO NOT CUT AWAY THE WIRE SHEATH AND USE POWER FOR OTHER EQUIPMENT. Doing so may exceed the
current carrying capacity of the wire and result in fire or electric shock.
DO NOT INSTALL IN LOCATIONS WHICH MIGHT HINDER VEHICLE OPERATION OR CREATE HAZARDS FOR
VEHICLE OCCUPANTS. Doing so may obstruct forward vision or hamper movement.
DO NOT CONTACT, DAMAGE OR OBSTRUCT PIPES, FLUID LINES OR WIRING WHEN DRILLING HOLES. Failure
to take such precautions may result in fire or cause an accident or injuries.
DO NOT USE NUTS OR BOLTS IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM WHEN MAKING INSTALLATION OR GROUND
CONNECTIONS. Never use safety-related parts such as bolts or nuts in the steering or brake systems or tanks to make
wiring installations or ground connections. Using such parts could disable control of the vehicle and cause brake failure,
other accident or injury.
HALT USE IMMEDIATELY IF A PROBLEM APPEARS. When problems occur such as a lack of sound or video, foreign
objects inside the unit, smoke coming out, or noxious odors, stop use immediately and contact the dealer where you
bought the equipment. Failure to do so may result in an accident or injury.
DO NOT OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT OR LOOK AT THE SCREEN WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. Operating the
equipment may distract the driver from looking ahead of the vehicle and cause accident. Always stop the vehicle in a
safe location before operating this equipment.
DO NOT INSTALL THE MONITOR NEAR THE PASSENGER SEAT AIR BAG. Ensure that the location chosen for the
monitor does not interfere with the operation of the passenger seat air bag. This will prevent the triggered air bag from
launching the display towards passengers, possible causing injury.
MAKE THE CORRECT CONNECTIONS. Failure to do so may cause fire or accident to occur.
ARRANGE THE WIRING SO IT IS NOT CRIMPED OR PINCHED. Route the cables and wiring so as not to be crimped
by moving parts or make contact with sharp or pointed spots which might damage the wiring. Failure to do so may cause
failure of unit or vehicle.
DO NOT RAISE THE VOLUME EXCESSIVELY. Keep the volume at a level where you can still hear outside noises
while driving. Driving while unable to hear outside noises could be the cause of accident.
DO NOT USE THIS EQUIPMENT FOR PURPOSES OTHER THAN STATED FOR THE VEHICLE. Failure to do so may
result in electric shock or injury.
HAVE THE WIRING AND INSTALLATION DONE BY EXPERTS. The wiring and installation of this unit requires special
technical skill and experience. To ensure safety, always contact the dealer where you purchased this unit to have the
work done.

USE SPECIFIED ACCESSORY PARTS AND INSTALL THEM SECURELY. Be sure to use only the specified
accessory parts. Use of other than designated parts may damage this unit internally or may not securely install the unit in
place as parts that come loose can create hazards.
DO NOT INSTALL IN LOCATIONS WITH HIGH MOISTURE OR DUST. Avoid installing the unit in locations with high
incidence of moisture or dust. Moisture or dust that penetrates into this unit may cause smoke or fire.

This unit will automatically detect the NTSC and PAL video standards.
·
In the PAL mode, characters may freeze or banding may occur in some images. Make sure you have selected the
correct video mode for your system.
Screen Display ON/OFF
Press the POWER button.
To turn off the POWER, press the POWER button again.
Notes:
· If properly connected, the monitors main POWER will turn off when the vehicle's ignition switch is off. If the main
power lamp illuminates in the STAND BY mode, the vehicle's battery may be discharged.
· On Screen Display
Operating the monitor functions will be displayed On Screen for 3 seconds.
Adjusting the Volume
Adjust the volume level by pressing the DOWN (
) or UP (
) button.
Mode switching
Press the SELECT button. Each press of the button will cycle through the modes as follows:
Adjustment
Press and hold the SELECT button for at least 1 second.

Adjust by pressing the DOWN (

· BRIGHT: Adjust the brightness of the picture.
· COLOR: Change the color balance of the picture.
Note: The color adjustment is disabled when using the RGB connection or if TV mode selected.
· TINT: Adjust the tint of the picture.

· DIMMER:
AUTO: Backlighting of the monitor adjusts automatically to the ambient light available inside the vehicle.
LOW: Backlighting is set to its lowest level.
MAX: Backlighting is set to its maximum level.
· DIMMER LEVEL: Adjust the backlighting output level.
· DISPLAY MODE:
WIDE: Expands a normal broadcast picture to fit the entire screen.
CINEMA: Displays a widescreen formatted picture (16:9) to fit the entire screen.
ZOOM: Displays a normal broadcast picture to fit the entire screen by cropping the left and right video information.
NORMAL: Displays a normal broadcast picture without modification. Black stripes will appear at left and right of the
screen.
· SOUND OUT
MONITOR: Outputs sound through the built-in speakers.
HEADPHONES: Outputs sound to headphones if connected.
After completing adjustments, press and hold the SELECT button for at least 1 sec.
Notes:
·
After turning the system off, a slight ghost of the image will remain temporarily. This is an effect peculiar to LCD
technology and is normal.
·
Under cold temperature conditions, the screen may lose contrast temporarily. After a short warm-up period, it will
return to normal.
·
It is normal for a very small number of the screen's pixels to be off. Even under the very high precision manufacturing
conditions, this fact is unavoidable.

Installing the Monitor
Caution:
Do not install the monitor near the air bag system in front passenger's seat.
Assemble the supplied bracket and mount the monitor temporarily.
Note:
Always use the supplied bracket or equivalent.
Verify the installation location.
Select a flat surface and temporarily mount the unit. Use adhesive tape, etc.
Notes:
· Mounting hints
· Top of the monitor does not exceed the top of the dash when viewed from the driver's seat.
· Mounting surface is stable.
· Monitor can be angled for easy viewing.
· In a vehicle with a front passenger air bag, do not install the unit where it will interfere with the
operation of the system.
· If the surface of the dash board is finished with other than plastic (true leather, wooden panel, cloth
covered panel, etc.), there will be some damage if the bracket is removed.
Remove the monitor from the bracket.
Peel the protective paper from the double-stick tape on bracket's base.
Clean the mounting location with the cleaner supplied.
Notes:
· Warm the mounting location with a dryer, etc. and then place the bracket into position.
· Do not apply force or moisture for 24 hours after installation.
· If the bracket is not attached securely with just the tape, use the supplied screws to complete the
installation.
· 5: If the mounting surface is curved slightly, reform the base to fit to its shape.
Connect the monitor and the AV Interface unit.
Insert the connector of the AV Interface Unit into the AV Interface connector of the monitor until a click
is heard.
Mount the monitor on the bracket.
Slide the mounting foot into the bracket on the monitor. Secure the monitor by tightening the locking
collar.
Dress the monitor's cable using the cord clamp provided.
Adjust the height and angle of the monitor for easy visibility.
Determine the height and angle. Tighten the height and angle adjusting screws to secure the monitor.

Installing AV Interface Unit
This Unit can be placed inside the trunk, on the kick panel of the front passenger's seat or underdash.
However, to avoid unnecessary signal wiring, it is better to mount the Unit as close as possible to the
Display.
DO NOT MOUNT THE UNIT IN LOCATIONS THAT WILL BE IN THE VICINITY OF MOISTURE OR
EXTREME HEAT (such as the engine compartment).
VelcroTM Tape Mounting:
This installation method is suggested when the mounting location does not permit drilling.
USE THIS METHOD ONLY WHEN THE UNIT IS MOUNTED ON A HORIZONTAL SURFACE. NEVER
MOUNT A UNIT UPSIDE-DOWN USING THE VELCROTM TAPE.
1. Remove the adhesive protective paper from one side of the VelcroTM tape.
2. Attach the exposed adhesive side to the underside of the Unit, in a central location. Do not cover the
serial number.
3. Make sure the mounting location is clean, dry and free from contaminants.
4. Remove the protective strip from the other side of the VelcroTM pad.
5. Press the unit onto its mounting location.
